NGATS Integrated Plan and Progress Report:

The Vision 100 – Century of Aviation Reauthorization Act - which created the JPDO (Joint Planning and Development Office) -  specified how the office would report their work to Congress.

The first report due under the Vision 100 Act was an integrated plan, "which would ensure that the Next Generation Air Transportation System meets air transportation safety, security, mobility, efficiency, and capacity needs,” beyond those included in current FAA plans.  The integrated plan was delivered to Congress in December 2004.

 

An ongoing requirement of the law is that a report describing the JPDO’s progress in carrying out the integrated plan (and any changes to that plan) be delivered to Congress annually at the time of the President's budget request.  The first progress report to the integrated plan was delivered to Congress on March 10, 2006.

JPDO reports are delivered to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, and, the House of Representatives Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the House Committee on Science.
